Alison Scott
By profession a solicitor, I specialised in complex injury and clinical negligence work for 20 years. When the family moved from Oxford to Edinburgh in 2005, I ceased practice, and organised a large academic conference for 2 years alongside other voluntary commitments before we returned to Oxford in 2009. 2010 - 2019 I was on the trustee board of Homestart Oxford, a family support charity, for 8 years, chair for 5. I was also on the Oxford University Newcomers' Club committee 2014-2023, chaired 3 times each for 2 years. Currently a trustee of The Arts Society Oxford, also a home-visiting volunteer for HomeStart Oxford, I joined Daybreak to support and further the important support it gives people and their carers.
