Cliff Grand-Scrutton: Chair
After a successful career in the Army, Cliff started his own hospitality business and later became a director for a school and college for the disabled, his first venture in the not-for-profit sector. He qualified as an accountant and became a director with a children’s hospice charity. He has since worked in various parts of the healthcare sector, and at present owns and operates a care home specialising in dementia support in Maidenhead.

Phil Gregory: Hons. Treasurer
Phil is a qualified chartered management accountant, having qualified over 10 years ago and has more than 15 years experience in financial and commercial roles. These roles have been in the retail industry covering food, motoring, travel, energy, childcare, funeral and pharmacy. Most of his career has been within Co-op businesses and he heads a regional community group for the Midcounties Co-op, which invests time and money back into the local community it serves.

Mary-Ann Elvina Xavier, PhD
Mary-Ann describes herself as "a scientist with a heart for change." With a DPhil in Oncology from the University of Oxford, she founded Art with Science, an NGO in Brazil focused on art workshops for individuals with Parkinson's disease and other vulnerable populations. Also founder of AmoVuca Sintrópica, a Brazilian sustainable and organic food start-up. Currently, Dr. Xavier is coordinating projects and researchers in support of an international grant for drug discovery and is based at The University of Oxford and Diamond Light Source. |
