Club Manager

Daybreak is a charity that is critical for people living with dementia.

We offer activities including music, crafts, dancing, games, and social interaction. We are dedicated to delivering fun for people living with dementia throughout Oxford.

You can play a vital role and make a difference in people’s lives. Do you want to be part of a friendly and fun team?

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the running of games, crafts, and singing.
  • Assist people with walking and eating and drinking.
  • Develop positive relationships with members and co-workers.
  • Supports the manager and acts as manager in their absence.
  • Your skills and what you'll find at Daybreak
  • Enthusiasm and initiative. Ability to be proactive without direct supervision
  • Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability. Ability to work in a changing environment. No two days are alike and all days are fun and interactive.
  • Excellent team player with a personable manner. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with a positive outlook, and the ability to inspire enthusiasm in people living with dementia, carers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to manage a team and support the centre manager. Ability to build positive, trust-based relationships, unite teams with a positive vision, and remove negativity to keep the work environment and employee experience positive.
  • Experience of working with people living with dementia in a healthcare, or related service.
  • Experience managing care teams effectively.
  • Location: Must be available to work in City Centre and willing to work in Greater Leys and Kidlington, if needed. Please let us know in your application if you have a proposal of how the role could work for you. All applicants must be able to work in the UK. Proximity to Oxford is an advantage.
